Well, it only took me three days to finish this card (thanks to my rubbish back only tolerating 10 minutes of sitting at a time) but it is finally done.
So far I have only used two images from my Strawberry Kisses stamp sets, and this one is definitely my favorite.
I am actually trying to utilize some of my paper scraps, but in matching layers etc., and keeping the cards from looking identical I always end up getting more 'new' paper out. All the best intentions....but poor execution. Ah well.
The recipe is pretty common for me. The image is colored with Pro Markers and the layers cut out with various Grand Nesties and Nesties. The embossed piece is actually a cut off from the 'You're in my Heart' card I made for the Crafty Boots Valentine's Challenge.
The sentiment is a Penny Black stamp. Both of the white layers (the image and the sentiment) are distressed with milled lavender distress ink, though it is not so visible in the pics.
I am entering this card in the following challenges
The Pink Elephant - Honoring Pink
Craft-room Challenge - Cute and Cuddly
Alphabet Challenge Blog - A is for Animal Antics
Fun with shapes and more - Birthday
Scrapbook Sisters - Anything goes
Celebrate the Occasion - Anything goes birthday
My Time to Craft Challenge - A is for Adorable
Crafters Companion Monthly Feb - Anything Goes
Okee dokee. I have some new crafting goodies to play with so I am going to have a break on my heating pad and call for inspiration.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!
